New Student Group Will Focus on Human Rights and Journalism
A new student group has been launched by ten Bethlehem University students who hope to shine a spotlight on local human rights issues and team up with students from around the world in order to generate a stronger message. The Consul General of France and acting special representative for the European Commission, Mr. Alain Rémy, visited Bethlehem University on October 22nd for an exciting visit to discuss cooperation between Bethlehem University and the European community.
Mr. Rémy was accompanied by a delegation from fifteen European countries: The United Kingdom, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Romania, Czech Republic, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, Greece, Ireland, Poland and France. Read more.

Bethlehem University will soon have greater academic links with its Irish friends after a successful visit with representatives from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Forge. Dr. John Kelly, a great friend and supporter of Bethlehem University, and the chairperson of the Friends of Bethlehem University in Ireland, visited with two representatives from NUI Maynooth over three days. The Second International Conference on Christian-Muslim Relations 2008, with the theme "The Influence of Media and Education on Christian-Muslim Relations", finished its eighth session at Bethlehem University on Friday, October 17th with a panel discussion on religious coexistence. Read more.
